CYPRESS HILS - Police say one person is dead after a hit-and-run early this morning in Cypress Hills.

At around 3 a.m., emergency units responded to the accident at the corner of Arlington Avenue and Hyland Place. The victim, 22-year-old Elvis Batista-Francisco, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Batista-Francisco was riding a moped westbound when he was struck by a car driving southbound.

Police are looking for a dark blue Nissan sedan.
