BROOKLYN - About 300 women and girls of all ages gathered in Brownsville today for an empowerment luncheon.

It marked the fourth annual luncheon called "She Is Me," and it was held at Mott Hall Bridges Academy.

The goal was to inspire women to have high self-esteem and the motivation to succeed.

Motivational speakers and other women from the community spoke to encourage attendees to feel comfortable in their own skin.
