BROOKLYN - Frustrated residents living near an empty lot by East 69th Street and Avenue N in Brooklyn say garbage is piling up and creating a dangerous situation.

Community members say people are dumping trash and weeds are growing out of control in the lot. According to residents, the garbage is now attracting rodents and could be dangerous for children.

Residents are also concerned that the sidewalk ends near the lot, forcing people to walk either on the street or near the garbage.
