BROOKLYN - A small school bus overturned Monday afternoon in Bedford-Stuyvesant after colliding with a cab, EMS officials say.

Authorities say the bus and the cab crashed at the intersection of Halsey Street and Marcy Avenue at around 3:30 p.m.

Witnesses say the green taxi struck the rear tire of the bus and caused it to flip over.

A faculty member told News 12 that the students were coming from I.S. 296 in Bushwick.

They say six children between the ages of 10 and 12 years old, one matron and the bus driver were transported to Woodhull Medical Center and Kings County Hospital with minor injuries.

The cab driver was transported to Kings County Hospital conscious and alert with neck and back injuries.

One person suffered serious injuries.

Police are investigating the crash to see who may have been at fault.
