EMT charged in pregnant woman's death

BROOKLYN - An EMT accused of ignoring a sick, pregnant woman has been charged with official misconduct in connection with her death.Melissa Jackson is accused of not responding to 25-year-old Eutisha Rennix, who suffered an asthma attack while working at Au Bon Pain in Metro Tech Center in Dec. 2009.Witnesses say Jackson and her partner, Jason Green, refused to help Rennix. She later died.If convicted, Jackson could face up to a year behind bars. Green, who was also accused in the incident, was shot to death at a Manhattan nightclub in July.
