CONEY ISLAND - New York is the 23rd state to be visited by the "I Will Act on Climate" tour bus.

The tour is an effort by the federal government to spread awareness about climate change and its contribution to unusual weather the country has been seeing in recent years. The message is to also remind people that the Environmental Protection Agency is working to reduce carbon footprints.

Some Coney Island residents wonder whether stricter environmental regulations will have any effect on storms, but they say they are certainly interested in anything that may prevent one from hitting their neighborhood in the future.
