BROOKLYN - The man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend last month on Chaucy Street has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police say.

Authorities say Erik McCormick shot Sellis Gonzales multiple times inside her home on Sept. 19.

Sources say McCormick sent her two kids to the store with money, and when they returned, they found their mother's body.

When police went to arrest McCormick upstate last week, they say he shot himself in the torso.
