BROOKLYN - A 69-year-old pedestrian is dead after being struck and killed in Borough Park.

Authorities say Ethel Rubinstein was trying to cross the street at 11th Avenue and 49th Street Sunday night when she was hit by a Mazda van.

Rubinstein was rushed to Maimonides Hospital and pronounced dead.

It's unclear who had the right of way, but police say the driver remained at the scene and so far no charges have been filed.
