Event feeds thousands Christmas dinner

PARK SLOPE - More than 300 volunteers gathered Thursday to serve Christmas meals to those in need at Prospect Park YMCA.

Organizers say the event is one of the biggest Christmas dinner feasts in New York City. According to organizers in charge, there were so many people interested in volunteering that some people were actually turned away.

Even though the need for food may be greater this year, organizers say they want to help those who may otherwise go hungry.
