This weekend will be an arduous one for anyone driving around the borough due to big events and construction.

Westbound traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge will be closed off starting Saturday at midnight and concluding Sunday at noon. This will cause heavy delays on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway in both directions. Drivers are advised to use the Williamsburg or Manhattan bridges instead.

The Brighton Jubilee will take place this Sunday, with activities such as rides, live entertainment, food and shopping. The Jubilee starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m., so there will be a closure on Brighton Beach Avenue between Coney Island Avenue and Corbin Place.

There will be a lot of weekend track work taking place in terms of mass transit.

Closures will also be taking place all around the Barclays Center due to the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.
