BROOKLYN - Several Brooklyn residents shared in the joy of the royal wedding as they viewed the festivities together at a watch party.

Residents watched the wedding ceremony of Prince William and Catherine Middleton early this morning on a large TV screen under the Brooklyn Bridge. Participants dressed in formal hats and tiaras, waved the flag of Britain and took pictures with cardboard cutouts of the couple.

Many said they had watched the 1981 wedding of William's mother Diana and were elated to have seen her eldest son wed today.
