Excitement is growing over the upcoming West Indian- American Day Carnival. The 43rd annual event will kick off September 2nd.Organizers announced this year?s theme is

BROOKLYN - Excitement is growing over the upcoming West Indian- American Day Carnival. The 43rd annual event will kick off September 2nd.

Organizers announced this year?s theme is ?Bridging Cultures? ? designed the unite the two million expected to be in attendance.

The Grand Marshals include Danny Glover and Wyclef Jean?s charity Yele Haiti. 35 musical acts are slated to perform.

Some of the proceeds from the event will go to relief efforts in Haiti.
