GOWANUS - Expectations are high for New York City Public Advocate Bill de Blasio as he and his camp await the day's primary results.

De Blasio will be joined by friends, family and supporters later tonight to watch the numbers trickle.

He spent much of the day campaigning across the city, and will not return to his headquarters until after the polls close.

The latest poll shows de Blasio with a comfortable lead over the other Democrats in the race. If he takes home the anticipated 40 percent, he will be able to advance to the general election or force a runoff election.
