BROOKLYN - Express bus service is set to make a trial run in Brooklyn, says the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA).

The MTA plans to revamp its limited express bus service in 2008 with the B44 line, which runs along Nostrand Avenue from Sheepshead Bay to Williamsburg. Upgrades will include lanes dedicated to the express bus and traffic lights timed to the B44 schedule.

While many commuters say they are looking forward to the changes, others say they worry running more express buses will cause delays for regularly scheduled buses. The MTA promises frequent stops of all buses throughout the day.
