BROOKLYN - A new Facebook app is getting involved in the flu blame-game as the bug spreads at a record pace this season.

"Help, I Have the Flu" allows users to find out who in their social circle may have passed along the symptoms. It works by searching keyswords, such as coughing, in the Facebook statuses of your friends and by referencing the places they have checked in.

Medical experts warn that you can contract the flu from 6 feet away. They say everyone should be taking crucial steps to preventing the virus, including using plenty of sanitizers.
