THE BRONX - A Brooklyn family is asking for the public’s help in the investigation of their 14-year-old’s six-story fall from a Bronx roof.

Police are investigating whether Zaire Young was pushed or jumped off an apartment complex located at Crescent Avenue.

Shannell Young, Zaire's mother, said her son's iPhone, sneakers and shirt were missing when he was found. The teen is currently at St. Barnabas Hospital and unable to speak. He had been reported missing hours after leaving his home Saturday morning.

A nurse, who is a family friend of the Youngs, identified him after seeing a post on Facebook about his disappearance.

The family says they are curious about two young men who apparently visited Young before he was identified. People in a neighboring room told the family that two suspicious-looking men came to visit him when he first arrived.

Police are asking ask anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-877-577-TIPS.
