Family of Elvis Batista Francisco urges driver to come forward after fatal hit-and-run

BROOKLYN - A family who lost their son in a deadly hit-and-run on Saturday is calling for justice and pleading for the driver to come forward.

Police say Elvis Batista-Francisco, 22, was struck and killed by a car on the corner of Arlington Avenue and Highland Place. They say the driver never stopped, leaving the victim to die at the scene.

Police say Batista-Francisco was driving a moped westbound on Arlington Avenue when a driver in a dark blue Nissan sedan going southbound on Highland Place smashed into the victim. They say the incident occurred at around 3 a.m. on Saturday.
