BROOKLYN - The family of a Brooklyn mother who was murdered inside her home last week is pleading for the public to come forward with information about the shooting.

The victim, 46-year-old Sellis Gonzalez, was found with gunshot wounds to her head and upper body on Sept. 18 at her home on Chauncey Street. She was pronounced dead on arrival to Brookdale Hospital.

Police believe Eric McCormick, Gonzalez’s ex-boyfriend, is the man who committed the murder. News 12 sources say McCormick sent her two children to a local store with money before the incident. They discovered their mother’s body when they returned.

Police have not yet been able to locate McCormick.
