BROOKLYN - Family members of a Gravesend couple that was brutally killed on a family vacation are reflecting on their lives and hoping for some clues in solving their murder a year later.
Loved ones say their wounds are still raw following the murders of Elizabeth Mayorga and husband Anthony Contreras. They miss the young couple and are looking for answers as to why they were murdered.
The couple was just in their late teens when they were killed while vacationing in Houston. The family says the couple and their 5-month-old daughter were visiting with an uncle in his apartment when all three adults were shot there.
The baby girl was found unharmed, hidden underneath a bed.
The family says there is a $5,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest. They're also trying to raise more money.
