BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn family is thanking a group of Sheepshead Bay High School students who came to the rescue when an elderly man fell down near their school.

Doug Hilfman says he's grateful to the eight students who helped his father last month after he fell on his apartment building stairs and couldn't get up on his own.

Lawrence Hilfman, 77, fractured his hip in the fall and is still recovering. He called the students the greatest kids in the world.
