Fans saddened, upset over Steinbrenner death

BROOKLYN - Yankee fans were saddened and upset over the death of franchise owner George Steinbrenner today.

Steinbrenner led the team for more than 30 years earning the nickname ?The Boss.? Under his leadership, the team won six World Series titles and built an internationally recognized franchise.

Fans in Brooklyn say his death was an incredible loss to baseball. Many say his legacy will live on at the Yankee Hall of Fame.

Many fans noted the Yankees team lost two legends in the past week. Noted announcer Bob Sheppard passed away on July 11.
