BROOKLYN - Federal agents have taken five people into custody who may be involved in the Chelsea bombing after a traffic stop near the Verrazano Bridge overnight.

The FBI says it stopped the car after it had crossed the bridge traveling from Staten Island to Bay Ridge.

Federal officials say the men were taken into custody, but no charges have been filed.

At least 29 people were injured after a bomb exploded under a dumpster on 23rd Street in the Chelsea section of Manhattan Saturday. A second device that did not explode was also found on 27th Street just five blocks away.

Officials are also investigating explosions in New Jersey, after a pipe bomb was detonated in a trash can Saturday. And one of five devices exploded today at a train station in New Jersey, prompting closures of railway traffic.

New York City officials have added extra police security around the city.
