FDNY seeks blood donations for injured firefighter

BROOKLYN - The FDNY is hosting a blood drive tomorrow for one of Brooklyn's bravest.

Firefighter Robert Wiedman suffered burns to more than 50 percent of his body during a fire last month in Crown Heights. Doctors say Wiedman will likely need several surgeries to recover and still needs blood donations.

The FDNY says the blood drive will take place tomorrow from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Engine Company 280, Ladder Company 132 at 489 Saint John's Place.
