CONEY ISLAND - Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) workers are offering advice to Brooklyn homeowners who want to rebuild to withstand future storms following Sandy.

Mitigation specialists are stationed at Home Depot on Cropsey Avenue in Coney Island to offer advice on safe cleanup, repair and building techniques.

FEMA officials say every dollar they spend to help people rebuild properly saves them $4 if another superstorm hits the area.

Specialists will be at Home Depot through Sunday.
