BEDFORD-STUYVESANT - A Bedford-Stuyvesant brownstone caught fire overnight, forcing tenants to hang from windows before they were rescued.

The two-alarm fire started at 229 Monroe St. on the top floor of a four-story brownstone at around 1:30 a.m. today. A family of five was home at the time.

Red Cross officials say they will help the family find a temporary place to stay.
