Fire burns through 4 homes on DeKalb Ave.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT - Authorities say a fast-moving Bed-Stuy fire severely damaged four DeKalb Avenue homes.

The fire started at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday at 1034 DeKalb Ave., authorities say. Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control in less than an hour, but not before the four homes were almost gutted. Two of the homes were vacant, authorities say.

Seven firefighters had to be treated for minor injuries.
