CROWN HEIGHTS - Two businesses have been destroyed after a fire ripped through a Crown Heights building this afternoon.

Fire Chief Thomas Richardson says the fire started in the ceiling of a grocery store and a deli at 1660 St. John's Place. Richardson says the fire then spread to the apartments above the businesses, but that everyone was able to make it out of the building.

The owner of the deli says he plans to rebuild his store at the same location.
