Fire erupts at historic BK church; 4 injured

NEW YORK - (AP) - A fire has erupted at a historic New York Citychurch.

Firefighters say the blaze was reported Wednesday night at theBaptist Temple church in Brooklyn. The church was built in the1890s and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in1995 for its architectural and engineering significance.

Firefighters say the flames didn't spread beyond the church andwere deemed under control by early Thursday morning. They haven'tdetermined how much damage was done.

Four firefighters have suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the fire hasn't been determined.
