BROOKLYN - A fire broke out in a vacant apartment at 875 Pennsylvania Ave. this morning.

Fire officials say the blaze started on the seventh floor of the 16-story apartment building at around 3 a.m. 

One person was taken to an area hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation, but there were no other serious injuries.

Authorities say the fire is not being deemed as suspicious.
