Fire guts home of Haiti victims' family

BROOKLYN - A major fire in Flatbush destroyed the home of Dorothy Charles and her family just one month after she lost her father and grandfather to the earthquake in Haiti.

Charles says she was watching television when she noticed smoke coming from the basement. Her family of six safely evacuated their home with no injuries.

The Red Cross is providing shelter for the family one night, but Charles says both her and her family in Haiti are now homeless.
