BROOKLYN - Two families are now homeless after an early morning blaze in Cypress Hills.

Fire officials say the fire began at 31 Nichols Ave. and spread to neighboring 29 Nichols Ave.

Five firefighters also suffered minor injuries from the fire.

Officials say they are still investigating what sparked the blaze.
