BROOKLYN - Schoolchildren were evacuated to safety after their school bus caught fire Wednesday.

The incident happened around 3 p.m. outside P.S. 327 on Bristol Street in Brownsville.

The fire was under control in less than 30 minutes, according to witnesses.

Witnesses tell News 12 the fire started in the front of the bus, but the official cause of the fire is under investigation.
