Flatbush tenants rally to demand building repairs

BROOKLYN - Flatbush residents rallied today to pressure their landlord to make necessary repairs to their Martense Street apartment building.

Tenants? list of complaints include windows lacking locks, no hot water, and, in one extreme case, an apartment without a sink.

Building managing agent Pearl Solomon says he has taken the necessary steps to make 85 percent of the repairs to the building.

Councilman Mathieu Eugene says he will invite the landlord to his office in hopes of seeing how they can make the repairs happen.
