FLATBUSH - The Flatbush community is mourning the loss of a Yeshiva teacher who was killed after his car was struck by an alleged drunken driver on Monday night.

Police say that Moshe Berkowitz, 25, was driving near Ocean Avenue and Avenue N when an oncoming driver crossed the center lane and hit his car. Berkowitz, a 7th and 8th grade teacher at a Flatbush Yeshiva, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Officers arrested 23-year-old Anel Kolenovic at the scene. Kolenovic is facing charges of manslaughter, reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle under the influence and disobeying a red light.
