BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn man has started his own business selling rocks.

Floyd Hayes has come up with a novel new product, selling rocks he picks up in the borough through an online campaign.

He calls it the Piece of Brooklyn Project.

"Hey, Brooklyn actually has some cache around the world,” he says. “Wouldn't it be fun to sell little pieces of Brooklyn?"

According to his website, the Piece of Brooklyn Project allows anyone to own their very own piece of the coolest neighborhood in the world for just $4. A dollar from each sale is then donated to the Brooklyn Arts Council.

Hayes has sold at least 50 pebbles so far and hopes to continue making sales in the future.
