Food fight heats up in Bay Ridge

BROOKLYN - The food fight between restaurants and street vendors in Bay Ridge is heating up.

Several neighborhood business owners who launched the Save Our Streets campaign have been protesting since Monday. The restaurant and bar owners complain the mobile vendors are not only sometimes illegally parked, but are also taking away their customers.

After the group today met with City Councilman Vincent Gentile, News 12 Brooklyn has learned city officials are now working to reinstate a "vender review panel."
