BROOKLYN - Bushwick native Jon Severe is one of the more decorated high school basketball players to come out of the borough in recent years, but his college career has been a bit of a roller coaster ride.

While his freshman season at Fordham was one of the best in school history, sophomore year was a step back for Severe.  He even took a leave of absence.

This past year was better, but in late March, Severe announced he'd be transferring to Iona.

Severe is now taking summer classes at Fordham to finish his degree and enroll as a grad student at Iona in the fall, so he can play right away.
