BROOKLYN - A forklift operator has been charged after hitting an elderly woman in Borough Park. 

Police say Alexis Cordero is facing charges of reckless driving, third-degree assault and operating a vehicle without a license. 

The 73-year-old woman is recovering from a leg injury at Lutheran Medical Center. 

The accident happened Wednesday afternoon on 60th Street and 13th Avenue.
