Former Crown Heights teacher aide Taleek Brooks sentenced to 50 years in child pornography case
BROOKLYN - A former teacher's aide in Crown Heights will spend the next half-century behind bars after he admitted to producing child pornography.
Taleek Brooks was sentenced in federal court to 50 years in prison Wednesday after pleading guilty last year to making pornographic videos of a student inside a classroom where he worked at P.S. 243, also known as Weeksville Elementary School.
According to investigators, Brooks had accepted a request from an undercover FBI agent on the child porn Internet network in 2011. The FBI then found a folder labeled "special" on his computer, which is where he was keeping the pornographic videos and photos.
