BROOKLYN - Eliot Spitzer has taken his campaign for city comptroller to Borough Hall.

The former New York governor held a meet-and-greet with some potential Brooklyn voters, saying that his financial background makes him the best candidate for the job.

Spitzer had been in the spotlight back in 2008 as the center of a prostitution scandal, but all might be forgotten. He leads the race in the most recent polls.

Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer is also vying for the comptroller position. He made a campaign stop in East Flatbush, and has the backing of current State Comptroller Thomas Dinapoli.
