A former LIU basketball star competed against some of the best athletes in the world as his British national team hosted Team USA on Thursday.

BROOKLYN - A former LIU basketball star competed against some of the best athletes in the world as his British national team hosted Team USA on Thursday.

Kyle Johnson hit the court with Brooklyn Nets' Deron Williams, who led the U.S. with 19 points. Johnson had 21 points in his previous game against Portugal.

Great Britain came up short, losing 118-78.
