Former Rep. Weiner, wife welcome son

BROOKLYN - (AP) - Former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner ofNew York is ending a rough year with some good news.

A spokeswoman says the Democrat and his wife, Huma Abedinwelcomed son Jordan Zain Weiner onWednesday.

Weiner resigned from Congress in June amid outrage over sexuallyexplicit emails and social media postings involving a former pornactress and other women. Republican Bob Turner won a specialelection to represent his Brooklyn-Queens district.

Abedin is a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary RodhamClinton.

Weiner and Abedin married in July 2010. Jordan is their firstchild.
