FORT GREENE - Blocks of Fort Greene residents have been displaced following manhole explosions and a raging fire.

Authorities say manhole fires led to an electrical fire in the basement of 459 Mrytle Ave. at the corner of Washington Avenue yesterday at about 11 a.m.

About 30 people from seven buildings had to evacuate their homes.

There's no word on when tenants will be allowed to return to their buildings.
