Fort Greene residents on edge after string of armed robberies

FORT GREENE - Fort Greene residents say they are on edge after a string of armed robberies in the area.

Police say there have been at least six attacks in the past two weeks in Fort Greene Park.  They some of the attacks happened in broad daylight, usually after 3 p.m.

Investigators say in each case, the suspect came from behind a tree, showed a silver gun and demanded cash, jewelry and anything else of value.

Police have enhanced patrols around Fort Greene Park, including the use of plain-clothes officers.
