BROOKLYN - Soldiers at Fort Hamilton today honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. ahead of next week's holiday.

The soldiers marched around the base to symbolize the late activist's civil rights rallies. Children from Fort Hamilton's child development center also participated in the ceremony by reading King's iconic "I Have a Dream" speech.

The rest of the country will remember King on Monday by honoring his birthday.
