CROWN HEIGHTS - Residents along Franklin Ave. in Crown Heights say the neighborhood is making a change for the better as new businesses move in.

While some crime numbers in the neighborhood are up compared to last year, residents say the crime rate is nowhere near what it once was. Business owners and local artists are now attracted to the area, with stores and art spaces opening up.

Other new spots along Franklin Ave. are set to open soon, including an animal hospital.
