BROOKLYN - Tax season is soon approaching and this year more taxpayers in Brooklyn are eligible for a free file program.

The free file program is an electronic initiative that allows eligible taxpayers to file their taxes online. Officials say those who file online can received their tax return in 10 days. Applicants must have a adjusted gross income of $52,000 or less to be eligible.

Officials say 95 million taxpayers are eligible for the program, which is up from 92 million last year.
