Free WiFi headed to south Brooklyn parks

Many parks in southern Brooklyn will soon be hooked up with free WiFi. The city Parks Department says it's adding Internet service to public spaces

BROOKLYN - Many parks in southern Brooklyn will soon be hooked up with free WiFi.

The city Parks Department says it's adding Internet service to public spaces in several communities, including Coney Island, Gravesend, Bensonhurst, Bath Beach and Bay Ridge.

Officials say the process of setting up WiFi is under way, but they have not specified when it will be available.
