BROOKLYN - The Bangladeshi community in Kensington held a vigil today to bid farewell to a Brooklyn man who was brutally murdered on Tuesday.

Mahuddin Mahmud, a 57-year-old father and businessman, was nearly decapitated inside the basement of his McDonald Avenue business.

Police arrested Rasel Siddiquee for the murder, who had been living in an apartment in the building's basement. They believe the two men got into a fight over some documents Siddiquee wanted in order to travel back to Bangladesh.

Mahmud's body is on its way to his native Bangladesh, where there will be a formal funeral for his family.
