BROOKLYN - Friends and family are mourning the death of a 5-year-old boy struck and killed by a truck in Williamsburg.

Witnesses say the child was riding his tricycle on the sidewalk when he was struck by a van coming out of a meat market garage on Heyward Avenue near Broadway.

Police are investigating the incident.
